This is the BEST hidden sushi gem in Laurel! Great prices! Specially from their half price sushi menu!

5/5 stars seriously !!! What a hidden gem with great ambiance and staff. Delicious and fresh sushi, the lettuce wraps were delicious and proportioned well, the martinis were made to perfection and did not lack, and the avocado crab ball is a must !!! Such a refreshing bite !! Will Definetly be coming back to try the hibachi food..and more sushi of course

This is how this story goes. We stopped at Kabu Japanese Steakhouse for sushi. We love to sit at the bar and so we did. Hosts were fast, nice, and literally waited behind us for a queue that we were ready to order. My perfect partner in crime took charge and said "I'm ordering our drink". I love that he does that because (you all know, women are from Venus, men are from Mars) and I never know what to pick. Score on the drink! Scorpion Bowl for two was a hit! If you're getting this drink there is a RULE. Every time your "number 2" drinks, you have to also. (I am making this up, but if you do listen to this and apply it, you'll be tipsy in no time; plot twist you'll need another drink and it's ONLY $12! You read that RIGHT! We ordered sushi and it was great! Presentation was excellent, look at our plate! Over all, I'm impressed. Great food, great drinks and very inexpensive. Here is the best part, Happy Hour is in full effect on the weekend! Yell this next sentence; Happy Hour EVERYDAY! I yelled that same sentence in the restaurant, it's amazing right? Balling on a Budget, this is the place to BE! Perfect date night spot for those on a budget and your partner won't even notice! Yelpies thank Him for putting Us on! Definitely worth 5 stars!

Best hibachi in the area. Their happy is amazing. Service is attentive and quick. Cooks pay attention to the vibe of the table. Highly recommend!

Came here for my cousin daughter 16th birthday. It was a great experience, the food was good I didn't purchase any drinks that night but my family stated that the alcohol was good a strong. The cook was very entertaining and the food was amazing. The restaurant was nice and clean and the server was nice and very friendly.

My friend and I have been here a few times now. I absolutely love it. We tend to go during off hours so it's pretty quiet. I love that. The servers have always been very kind and efficient. I have never had any problems with staff. The vibes are fantastic. It's a super chill spot that people can go to have a great time by themselves or with friends and family. The food is fantastic. I have no problems getting items. It is a bit limited on the vegan options but there are enough that I personally do not have a problem with it. If I eat meat on the rare blue moon, then I am open to seafood which they have plenty of. The portions are decent as well, not too much but not too little. The parking is a little limited. The business does share spaces with multiple other businesses so if you come during busier hours, it might be a tad hard to find a spot. During the slow hours, it is easier to find a spot but even then, there still aren't many spots. Anyway, I will continue to go back because I absolutely love the vibes and the food.

Came during their happy hour from 4PM to 7PM. Their happy hour menu had a lot of selection for appetizers, drinks, and sushi rolls. I decided to get sushi rolls. I got the sweet potato roll, eel avocado roll, salmon roll, and tuna roll. It was super affordable with the happy hour prices. Food came out very quickly after ordering! If you're looking for a solid happy hour that won't break the bank, Kabu is a place to check out!

Love this place! I've been coming here for two years now and love their food and drinks and the restaurant itself is very pretty too. They have a hibachi area, regular restaurant area, and sushi bar area - it's quite spacious. They have really good happy hour from 4-7 daily. I recently went to try their lychee martini, seaweed salad, shumai, dancing angel roll and kiss of fire roll (not pictured). The lychee martini was delicious - usually don't got for vodka drinks but this was just perfect, not too sweet and not too bitter. The seaweed salad was standard and good. The shumai was okay. I was skeptical about the dancing angel but it was amazing!! I added jalapeño on top and had siracha on the side (both of which come on the kiss of fire) and was blown away by how good it was. I normally get the kiss of fire there and it never disappoints. As for service, my server was amazing - she was super attentive, helpful, and truly knew customer service (which is a lost art for many people and places these days).
